ABOUT US

Founded in 1892

Our modern day Association was founded in 1892 by a group of celebrated Lincoln Ram breeders

The main aims of our Association today are much the same:

  • To encourage breeding and promote Lincoln Longwools
  • To uphold the breed standard and maintain breed purity
  • To annually compile a pedigree register – the Flock Book
  • To augment show classes and recommend judges

We are based at the Lincolnshire Showground where we hold our Annual General Meeting in April. Our council consists of 12 full members.

We organise social events and occasionally breed workshops. We produce a quarterly breed publication ‘Clippings’.

Association membership is open to anyone who wishes to breed or support Lincoln Longwools.
