What happened.

This year the AGM moved into the EPIC Centre, the new eco-friendsly building on the Showground. It is a pleasant environment although not ideal for showing slides!

The business was dealt with efficiently and it has been a successful year financially for the Association. Maurice Parker, Keith Harding, Becky Henson and Martyn Robinson were elected onto the Council.

The Chairman's award for services to the Association was given to Ginnie Hutchison. Ginnie has been a successful breeder for many years and has raised many thousands of pound through the running of the Hundred Club. She and husband Geordie are moving to Fife and the Association is exstremely grateful for all of their efforts over the years.

The Fleece competition provided another opportunity to listen to David Jones explain the finer points of the longwool fleece. There was an excellent display of quality wool, Martyn Robinson took the honours, and the whiskey for the best fleece.

After an excellent lunch we were treated to a fascinating talk by Jean Howard about the history of the Lincoln, with particular emphasis on the "Stuff Balls" and Louth Carpets.
This was a very interesting topic and Jean kept the audience enthralled by her account of this period in Lincoln history.

This is a good start to the year and let's hope there is a great showing season ahead.
